This morning at Temple Meads: a Class 31/1 in early 60s livery. Back then it would have had a working headcode box and probably nose doors too. I’ve had a soft spot for the Class 31 since childhood, because I can remember seeing the 31/4s on the South Transpennine route from Cleethorpes to Liverpool in the mid-80s.
